Use Badges in Semarchy xDG

Badges represent the state of an asset. They may be calculated or manually set by users.

To use a badge, you must first create its definition, then assign it to an asset. Finally, if the badge is manual, you can set its value for the asset it is assigned to.

Assign a badge to an asset

To assign a badge to an asset:

  1. Select an asset or initiative.

  2. In the General tab, select Add Badge in the Badges section.

  3. Select the badge to assign to this asset, and then click Save.

The badge is added to the asset. It appears in the Badges section. In addition, if this badge is featured, it appears in the asset editor header.

If the badge is calculated, it automatically takes a value according to the rule defined for this badge.

Badges are defined with a scope, that is the type of assets they can be assigned to. If a badge does not appear in the list, review its scope definition

Set a manual badge state

If a badge is manual, you can set its state.

To set badge state:

  1. Select an asset or initiative.

  2. In the General tab, click the badge in the Badges section.

  3. Select the value to set, and then click Update.

The badge status updates.
