Semarchy 2023.4 in brief
Semarchy xDM 2023.4 introduces continued upgrades of xDM for workflows and data stewardship:

Semarchy 2023.4 in detail
Semarchy 2023.4 is the fourth and final Mainstream Release for 2023. As a reminder, Semarchy transitioned to quarterly releases at the beginning of 2023 with the aim of regularly bringing new features and capabilities to our user community.
Semarchy xDM
Workflow startup by REST API
To provide the potential for additional automation, workflows can now be initiated via REST API endpoints. Parameters can be passed through the request to populate optional workflow fields, such as priority, due date, or comments. SemQL filters can be used to select one or more golden records to be treated in the workflow.
Workflow startup from records in error
Source authoring and golden data in an error state are now available as specific record types from which to start a workflow. Initiating a workflow from the error state provides data stewards with a more streamlined process to address error handling in specific data-authoring workflows.
Workflow purge
Workflow definitions now provide the capability to set retention policies for workflow data and metadata. Removing data from outdated or canceled workflows reduces the risk of cluttering databases, helping to improve the efficiency of applications. Data and metadata of the records handled during a workflow remain unchanged and governed by their specific retention policies.
Deployment history purge by REST API
Continuing with the concept of keeping clutter down, we have introduced purging deployment history by REST API. Again, providing this new endpoint allows designers and administrators with a new tool to automate their housekeeping tasks, saving valuable resources and increasing efficiency.

Semarchy xDI
New Databricks SQL connector
Databricks is a Cloud Database Management Leader, allowing its users to harness massive datasets for AI/ML training, streaming, real-time analytics, and more. Providing a native connector in Semarchy xDI permits our users to easily load their RDBMS, DBFS, and XML data directly into Databricks SQL.
New deserializers
Continuing on the major mappings design experience improvements introduced in Semarchy xDI 2023.1 through Deserializers, we are expanding our capabilities with dedicated templates to de-serialize JSON data contained in MySQL and Redshift database columns. Deserializers aid users in unparsing structured data, facilitating the storage of these data, and their accessibility to downstream applications, for example.
Connector updates
Connectors are the heart of Semarchy xDI. In addition to introducing connectors for new technologies, we are continually improving existing connectors to include additional functionality. We may also update them as required by changes to the technologies themselves. In this release, we have added support for MongoDB version 6.x, API key authentication and TLS/SSL certificate customization for Elasticsearch, and support for writing hierarchical data types (ARRAY and ROW) in Vertica.
Connector site per version
Given the growth of the connector library in xDI, updating the connectors can be time-consuming. We are now providing each xDI release with its own dedicated connector repository URL in the components update site. Data designers can now choose to install connectors optimized for their specific xDI version, streamlining the installation and upgrade process.
