The design of data flows with Semarchy xDI Designer is based on metadata.

Before you design mappings and processes design, you must:

Set up your environment with the required components, modules, and templates.
Create metadata to define the datastores involved in the data flow and use metadata to enable data quality.

Semarchy xDI Designer provides a mechanism to externalize metadata properties that facilitates the configuration and deployment of data flows on different environments.
